Product Owner/Business Analyst - Banking/Payments experience - French speaking (Contract)

Location: Hybrid - 2 days per week in Farnborough Country: UK Rate: £340/day
 

We are heading up a recruitment drive on behalf of a leading IT consultancy that require a Product Owner/Business Analyst to join their team on a major project that is based 2 days per week in Farnborough.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital solutions within the Banking and Financial Services domain.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements, ensuring alignment with client goals and market trends.
  • Create and maintain a backlog of user stories, epics, and features, refining and prioritizing items based on business value and stakeholder feedback.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, design, and QA, to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of product increments.
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions, fostering collaboration and transparency among team members.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, gathering feedback, and managing expectations.
  • Conduct user research, market analysis, and competitive intelligence to inform product decisions and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and user feedback to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach, advocating for the needs of end-users and ensuring that products meet or exceed their expectations.

Candidate requirements

  • Experience working in the banking and financial services industry, with a strong understanding of industry trends, processes, and regulations.
  • Proven track record of successfully defining and delivering digital products or solutions, preferably in the BFS sector.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in agile methodologies, with experience leading scrum teams and managing product backlogs.
  • Ability to prioritize competing demands and make data-driven decisions to maximize product value.
  • Well versed with agile project management software for creating, tracking story progress like JIRA, Confluence etc
  • 5 to 6 years of experience in a product owner role within the Banking and Financial Services domain, with a proven track record of successfully defining and delivering solutions.
