Deerfoot IT Recruitment is helping a well-established and prestigious manufacturing and retail company find a Dynamics Business Central Developer to join their development team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a hybrid basis in the Cambridge area (3 days onsite, 2 days home working) delivering a key Business Central Development project to the business.

As a Business Central Developer, you will help ensure the delivery of quality software solutions. You'll actively participate in all stages of software development, from design through to delivery.

During your first few weeks in this Business Central Developer role, you can expect to take on some of the following:

We are currently running Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central version 13 with the TRIMIT 365 and LS Retail plugins.

Current requirements for support and development are in the areas of:

LS Retail POS configuration and interfaces (Pepper PDQ)

Warehouse process simplification, expansion of HHT (Tasklet) usage and improvement of inventory pick reservations

Web sales returns interface with Stripe

Linking of Financial ledgers

Possibly Shopify integration but this is dependent on business requirements that we do not have yet

To improve system knowledge of current IT members

• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Business Central standard product architecture and functionality
• Ability to build, test, deliver, and document a solution while ensuring customer platform integrity
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities
• Ideally experienced as a developer in a retail or manufacturing environment.
